Terminology
Overview
As a service, we believe in making professional titles as clear as possible for clients, in what is an unregulated and often confusing industry.
Psychotherapist
We therefore follow the direction of SCoPeD and only use the title of Psychotherapist for those therapists who have fully completed Masters level training in Psychotherapy, and are registered with the UKCP / are a Senior Accredited member of the BACP.
Counsellor
Therapists who have completed all other levels of training, including PGDip courses, are referred to using the term of Counsellor.

Enhanced Associates
These members of our Wellbeing Hub team are trained Counsellors, accredited Psychotherapists and qualified holistic therapists who work with clients who are referred into our practice.
Enhanced Associates in Training
These members of our Wellbeing Hub team are student counsellors, who are undertaken a placement with the practice under the supervision of our Managing Director and work with clients who are referred into our practice.
Associates
These members of our Wellbeing Hub team are trained Counsellors, accredited Psychotherapists and qualified holistic therapists who privately work with a range of clients.
Enhanced Associate Team
Our amazing Enhanced Associates are a very carefully chosen set of professionals, who we believe can provide only the highest standard of support to our clients.
These professionals provide therapeutic work for all clients who are referred to the Wellbeing Hub (or who self refer), and within this stay within our low fee parameter throughout the course of treatment.
Enhanced Associates have regular clinical supervision with our Managing Director, and attend our team CPD sessions to aid their continued skill development within their chosen specialty.

Michael Chamberlain
UKCP Systemic Psychotherapist, GSRD Therapist
Michael is a very experienced, accredited Psychotherapist, who works with couples and individuals, and has a wealth of experience in providing psychotherapy for a wide range of clients including within the LGBTIQA+ community.
He has significant experience in working within a GSRD frame, which deepens his work around sexuality, identity and related experiences.
Emily Winters
BACP Counsellor
Emily is an experienced Counsellor who works with adults as well as children and young people.
Emily uses a range of techniques when working with younger clients, including play therapy, sand tray work, creative means and shorter bursts of talk therapy.
Vanessa Tombs
Snr BACP Counsellor, Cert EMDR Therapist
Vanessa is a Senior BACP accredited Counsellor, who works with individual clients online using trauma-informed practices.
Vanessa is a trained EMDR Therapist, and is very experienced in providing this treatment via video calls. She has undertaken additional training in the Flash technique.
Enhanced Associates in Training
Our Enhanced Associates in Training are student therapists, who are undertaking the final year of their counselling training.
We only accept students who have met strict criteria, and who have been signed off by their training college as being ready for placement. We additionally require our students to have undertaken a minimum amount of personal therapy, and to remain in therapy during their placement.
Our Enhanced Associates in Training are supervised in practice by our Managing Director and Senior Supervisor, on a fortnightly basis. We actively support students to break out of their comfort blankets and embrace the learning available to them, whilst they are within their placement year - when they will be receiving enhanced levels of supervision compared to what is required post qualifying.
